I was fortunate to have hard work, discipline and risk-taking modeled to me at an early age. My parents/heroes, immigrants from Hungary, ran multiple small businesses for 30 years. Running my own business was not a choice, it was a natural fit.
After earning an MBA from Northeastern University, and with experience I gained in corporate sales and marketing positions, I decided to strike out on my own. I purchased a magazine and trade show business where I juggled publishing, editing, website development, marketing, sales, and trade show production in the wedding industry for 7 years, all while raising my beautiful twins (phew!). After selling that business, my husband and I bought a franchise business, and then opened a pizza restaurant with my parents. No, I can’t stop!
My experience of running these businesses hasn’t always been pretty. When you don’t have the right people and systems in place, you quickly find out your main job is putting out fires. It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day, while loosing sight of long term business goals.
Yet, from these struggles I discovered my true passion was in marketing, business development, organizational systems…the heart-beat of a business.
I understand the business owner mindset, and I want to help people like you put down the fire extinguisher and focus on growth. I know what it’s like to be the boss and be an employee. I’ll keep the bottom-line in mind while using my expertise and skills to execute tasks that help move the needle in your business.
